well,i went to their early october get together, and it was not the big one, which is in june. they had two firing ranges running at the same time. very low key, knowledgeable re-enactors,mainly from the french side. huge fort, which was rebuilt by the wpa on the original foundation. i really enjoyed getting out into a really rural area. i do not work for illinois or missouri tourism, but there is a lot to see.

Wasn't there a lot of fighting in and around south-east Michigan, especially Detriot during the French and Indian war? I always thought that it was during this conflict that the fort there was made. Since you seem to be quite interested in this era of our nation's history, I imagine that you've been studying it. Turn up any information concerning Detroit in this war?
