Hi,

I will soon get my new Marlin 1894SS .44Mag and would like to replace the sights on it.

I have been searching on the internet but cant find any sight i would like to have, What im looking for is a rearsight/frontsight like this http://www.williamsgunsight.com/gunsights/images/60218firesightblade.jpg

Unfortunately all sights for this rifle i have found are different Tang or peephole sights and those are totally verboten on my rifle and not useful for me.
The only ones who looks interesting of those are the ghostring sights, Does anyone here have experience with them?

Regards,
Magnus308

Why not consider one of the full Buckhorn sights as made by Marbles they act as an apeture sight for close in shots or low light
You have a notch in the base or bottom for your main aiming point or zero and two points come together at the top for a little long range shooting.

With some practice one can use a little Kentucky windage and elevation when indexing the target inside the oval of the buckhorn sight.

Allot of the old timers became quite good shots using either tang peep sights or buckhorn sights on lever guns this was before rifles and scopes had developed or become common place.

If you want to go to a more modern sight system a Lyman 66 on the rear combined with a 17 on the front gives you a longer sight radius and much more in the way of adjustments and front post options.

Best of luck.;)

Thank you Gustav for your reply, I will have a look at the buckhorn sights.

Found this sight, Anyone know if it fits a new Marlin 1894SS?
