I recently aquired a bunch of 270 brass and in the lot was a bag of brass with Frontier as the headstamp. Who makes this and is it quality brass that is able to be reloaded?? Also there were a few cases with nny as the headstamp. Who makes this and is it any good??
Thanks
Jeff

in 1964, Hornady introduced its line of Frontier ammunition, which was manufactured using surplus military brass. The initial offering was five different cartridges. However the Viet Nam war caused a shortage of military brass, so the ammunition began to be loaded with new brass cases. Quality brass - I have some opinions on who made it when but I also suspect there was more than one maker over time.

No useful suggestions for .270 cases with lower case nny - are there more markings? Are the cases full length? WAG - reformed military .30-'06 but as noted that's a wag.

A quick google search revealed this:

Google is your friend;)
