Someone answered this question in a wtb thread I had that was deleted ( I think because I may have not had the state in the title)

Its for my father and he wants:

No Hammer
Airweight lightness
NO LOCK

38 Special that can reliably shoot +p

I believe it was a 64something...

Anyone know what I should be looking for model / name wise?

I think it was a 642 that was suggested (you have 765 posts and you still need to ask) ?

642-1. That -1 is very important. 642s were .38 only, not +P. 642-2 marked the introduction of the internal lock.
The 442-1 is the same gun with a black finish.
