Hi!
I was thinkin buying one and thought it could help my decision
if someone who has one tells about his/her experiences.
Is there a big difference (exept higher price and weight) between steel
and titanium versions, like performance, durability and such?

I will pick one up next week . Mine is stainless steel 4 inches barrel and it was replacement for the Model 82 that Taurus could not fix . I have no experience with Tracker before but I would think the short barrel stainless steel will be good compromise. The only few advantage for 6 inches barrel that I can think of is the sight radius will allow you to shoot farther and the extra lenght in the barrel will keep the loud noise from muzzle blast away from your face (even by merely 1 inch) . :)

Oh gosh my 6inch tracker is a tac driver and the most accurate revolver I have. At least it is in my hands, and I do have a number of S&W including a smooth as silk 19 and m686 along with a few rugers.

Yea I guess I'll get steel....spare more money for bullets.
My old Taurus 689 will get a new owner(lucky owner)
Even though its a shame to sell it away because it still gives a nice 2"
group from 25meters(after ca 50k rounds).

Steel isn't all THAT much heavier and is more pleasant to actually shoot. I don't have a tracker, but it ain't a lot different from my M66 which is the most accurate K frame sized gun I personally have ever owned in .357 magnum.

Brian's right. Get the steel. Too many issues with the titanium. My son had a 4" and sold it and now regrets letting it go.

I had a 6" 357 and a 4" 45 colt, I only regret selling the Colt, it would have been terrific with the barrel cut to 3" and a nice new ramp put on and some of the new hogue aftermarket grips.

Hey Brian, there's a Tracker .45 Colt over on Gun Broker, it has a buy now price of only $400. It looks new in the box.
Your second chance to get back what you lost. http://gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=83805129#PIC

I put some Hogue grips on mine that fit better than the rib job's that came with it.

My son has a 6" stainless Tracker. It is a sweet and accurate piece. I'm not a Taurus fan, but I was sure impressed with his.

Okay thanks for the advice.
I ordered my stainless tracker yesterday and I was promised to have it
friday.
I guess I gotta start reloading for weekend.
I'll be back to tell....

I put 300 rounds of assorted reload and Hornady Frontier and Remington Green box 125 grain Jacket hollow point through my Tracker this pass Thursday. It shoot pretty good at 15 yards but the empties need to be slap smartly out of the cylinder . I think you will like your . I plan to shoot it with my buddy tomorrow .:)

I don't have the 357 model, but I do have a Taurus Tracker 455. It's the only 45ACP revolver I own, & it shoots great! :D

Now I have it
and I love it.
I've only shot 20 rounds but I can already tell it was worth
every penny. It was accurate ( of course ) and the handle
dampens the recoil nicely. Today I'm gonna try reloaded ammo with it.
