Looking for a 1911 IWB Holster

What I want is IWB with snap loops. Now here's the kicker. I don't want the loops next to the gun. Would prefer them to the rear and the front (Galco NSA style but two of them). Would also like a little extra leather to prevent my safety from rubbing against my shirt or skin. Does such a creature exist?

Try Rafter S. Gunleather. I use one of their IWB for my Kimber Compact and love it.

Milt Sparks Versa Max II.
Comes with your choice of loop sizes and belt clips.
Extra leather to cover the safety.
Sounds like what you want.

I've been very impressed with the design, workmanship and quality of the G-Code line of holsters. I have both an IWB and a paddle for 1911s. Quite impressive.
Check their web site at

See a discussion of one of the products at

That thread includes some comments by THR member Scott Evans, the inventor. I note that there MAY be a wait for delivery, in that Scott is supplying a bunch of service style holsters to military personnel on deployment. The holsters are on official procurement for "certain units," but probably the majority are sent to private urchasers. They are THAT good.
Standard disclaimer: I have no commercial interest in this brand and have never even met Scott Evans.
Best wishes,
Johnny

i just bought a IWB holster for my colt commander.
its a milt sparks watch 6 its horse hide, covers the safety so none of the gun touches the body.
i was verry imprissed with how fomfy it was, i was not expecting it to be.
i got mine from lightning arms they have an address on the 1911 forum and a link.
it was $81 shipped and took only 3 days to get.

I've been very happy with my Hoffners ITP-3 Pro, more detail here (http://www.hoffners.com/inn03.jpg). I've bought several holsters from them, the quality is excellent, and so are their prices and service.

This (http://www.highnoonholsters.com/Product_Line/_Sky_High/_Topless/_Slide_Guard/_Pocket_Grabber/_down_under_strap.html) sounds like what you are looking for.
FYI, if you add $10 you can get this holster in a tuckable.

Sparks V Max II. Snaps or tuckable clips and wide enough for a 3 1/2" OM to be comfortable on my skinny backside.

Wow, if the Rafters holsters are as nice as they look on the web page HRT linked to then...
I'm speachless.
They look very nice for the asking price.

I second the suggestion to look at Rafter S. I have an iwb for my full size 1911 and belt holsters for numerous other handguns and they are great. Considering you can have a full setup (holster, belt and mag pouch) for the cost of just the VM2, I did not look any further. BTW, their belts have to be some of the best on the market.
