I like the way walnut media cleans my brass, and I like the way corn cob polishes it. Has anyone tried mixing equal parts together in thier tumbler? Did it work well, or should I stick with the two step process?

Yup. Seems to work pretty well.

I do a 2 step process, using dirty media for the first polishing, and cleaner media for the second. Makes the media last longer.

Oh, and don't forget the used dryer sheet (cut into 2" squares).

Mixed will work fine, but it will not do either job quite as well as the two step process.

I've tried both seperately and both mixed together. I prefer straight corncob since it polishes better, but have been putting about 25% walnut in with it until I am out of walnut. :)

Walnut does seem to do a better job on old tarnished range brass.
