Hi folks, I have been given a Marlin 60 with a magazine tube from a different rifle. It jams on just about every round, I looked at midway to buy the correct one but they have six to chose from and I don't know which to get. The rifle just says:
Glenfield Mod. 60
The Marlin firearm co.
North Haven. Conn. USA.
Cal. 22 LR Only
SN: 205281XX

Here is the results I found at Midway:
Marlin60 (http://www.midwayusa.com/ebrowse.exe/browse?CurrentSort=manufacturer_a&CurrentCountRet=2000&CurrentManufacture=AnyCompany&CategoryString=10636***10560***9216***&CategoryID=17977&BrandID=&page=1&KeyWord=&TabID=9&company_select=AnyCompany&search_keywords2=tube&Click+to+Begin+Refined+Search224.x=0&Click+to+Begin+Refined+Search224.y=0&Click+to+Begin+Refined+Search224=Search_Button&sort1=manufacturer_a&PageSelect=1&RecordsReturned=2000&PageSelect2=1&RecordsReturned2=2000)

any help will be greatly appreciated, Thanks!

I bet if you gave Numrich a call and gave them the sn they would get you the part you need. How did you determine it was the mag tube? Often the feed throat wears and causes miss feeding.

The mag tube won't lock into the magazine because it is about 1/4" too long. So it's gotta be at least part of the problem. I will see if I can get a look at the feed ramp but I don't know if I can get the rifle apart.

I'll give Numrich a call and see if they can help me find the correct tube mag. Thanks, Chawbaccer

If the mag tube is too long, why not cut it to the correct length? The pin holding the knob on the end is tighter than most ,but once it's removed a tubing cutter & a drill will make short work of it. Contol the spring, measure three times cut once ,save money. jim

Or just call Marlin toll-Free and have them send you a new one.
