Shell ejector on Single Shot

I have been toying with buying a single shot shotgun. I would like to find one that has a true ejector for the empty shell, not just a device that lifts the shell casing from the barrel. Do some makers routinely use these, or will I have to check each gun individually?
Thanks!

I think that most single shot shotguns have an ejector, but it wouldn't hurt to ask before buying just to be sure.

Most H&R/NEF singles have an ejector that will hurl the hull for yards.

I can personally attest to the presence of a very enthusiastic ejector on Rossi single shots. I'm a slow learner...hit myself in the face with two empties and in the teeth with a full shell. Yeah, so, anyway...most have nice ejecty ejectors. ;)

Does the Rossi eject "FULL" shells? All the ejectors I've seen eject only the empties.

The old Savage/Stevens Mdl 94B I used as a much younger than now hunter would toss the shell over your shoulder...or on to the bridge of your nose...
Had a fairly loud "thooonk" whne ejecting

The Baikal has a selector for extractor or ejector and works very well. I've got a 12 and a 20 and have had good luck with them.

I recently bought the Rossi Matched set with Single Shot 12 ga. , .243, and Inline 50 cal ML. To answer your question, Yes it ejects Full and Empties. I got it new for $250 IMO by far the best buy on the market.

If you break it, it will eject. Makes no difference if the shell has been fired or not. So, if you step back from the firing line after loading a shell and break the gun for safety reasons, it will eject the unfired shell.
