Have any of you guys used one of these? If so, how do you like it? How does it compare to a Eotech? I am thinking of buying one for my AR, and would like opinions, good and bad. Thanks.

Put a Holosight on my 12 guage turkey gun. Love it! Put the dot on target quickly and bang, down goes the bird.

The Bushnell Holosight is basically a cheaper version of the Eotech. It doesn't have the steel "cage" over the site to keep it from being damaged if subjected to rough treatment. I'm not sure of any other differences. Perhaps others on this forum could provide futher comment.

Be aware that there are two Bushnell Holosights now.
The old one that looks like an EoTech is the good one. Because it is basically an EoTech, without the mil-spec aluminum roll bar & waterproofing.
The new XLP is slightly cheaper, and not nearly as good.
A smaller screen, limited adjustment range, and other factors make it less desirable then the older original one.

But for only $56 dollars more, you can get the real deal!

No - that is the trade off.
I will say that I accidentally banged the hell out of my eotech on my PS90 once - thank god I had the metal cage on it - If I had been using the bushnell, I know it would have broken. And, this was just an accident...
If U look around hard enough - U can buy EOtechs for low $300s. I got my 511 for $300.
We have some sponsors at the FN Forum that run sales sometimes..

I have an original Bushnell HOLO-SIGHT on my Colt M4 .223. Sight picture
acquisition is really fast, allowing for quick follow-up shots. Plus, the fact
the Bushnell is far less expensive than the EOTech~~! :)
FWIW, its a common joke in the firearms sales industry that the Bushnell
HOLO-SIGHT goes out the back door; and the EOTech goes out the front
door, of the same factory. :uhoh: :scrutiny: ;)
