First time I shot sporting clays

Had a great time and great encouragement from the group I was with. The last time I shot skeet was in 1983. This time it was sporting clays at the delmarva sporting clays on the eastern shore in Maryland, it was a great course. Shot the standard course of fifty. Haven't shot a shotgun in 24 years and still pulled off 27 out of 50. Those bouncing rabbits.:fire:. The second from the last station had two coming too fast and I didn't lead em quick enough. Thanks Dave Mccracken for the advice you gave more than a few months ago on how to lead and shoot. The advice I got from the first station from one of the guys with us (after he called me a rifle shooter)
Butt, Belly,Beak and Bang. Makes me want to put it in my signature:D

I shot some clays too at Delmarva Sunday....with the Czech silver tip. :D
We were putting the clays on the berm and using them for tagets.

Thank YOU, Sarge, for making my day. Repeat this experience as often as time and income allow.
PGC has one wabbit target close enough I can hear it snicker as I miss it again and again. Some day...

Novus you must be some bad cat to be shooting sporting clays with czech silvertip even if I sold it to you at a special discount. :D Question is did the czech silvertip hit what they were aiming at?

I think you will be shocked. My M44 seems to love silvertip. With iron sights at a hundred yards I was hitting them often. Usually took about four or five shots each clay, but it was a great feeling seeing the orange dot dissapear.
After I ran out of the G11 ammo for the K31, which was like thirty rounds, I was shooting the M44 a lot.
Another surprise was I was hitting the clays with the Steyr Mannlicher too and those sights are even worse and the gun is much older.
