Anyone had one of these? I need to know if the bolt comes apart (doesnt appear to). My dad has had one of these (looks to be in great shape, kept dry, no rust) that has seen more time as a hatrack than as an actual projectile weapon. I plan to clean it, but would like to know if it needs anything else.

Edit: I neglected to mention it is a .22 short, Long, or long rifle:confused: . Says so on the barrel.

Thanks,

Ha! I have one! Have never heard anyone else ever mention this model. It has been in our family as long as I can remember (born in '58) I don't know if it's worth anything and if it was I messed that up when I mounted a scope on it in the '70s. I have always just lubed it by dripping some oil around the cocking piece at the rear of bolt and working it back & forth a few times. Many a critter has fallen to that weapon. It does take all reg .22s. No mags.

I bought Stevens 15-b at a flea market for 50 bucks, but i'm not sure what year it was made or anything. Theres no serial number or anyother marks to indicate the exect time of manufater. It was made in "Chicopee falls, Mass. usa"

Underneath the buttplate I found that someone by the name of "Paul J. Hess" once owned.... It might have been the guy i bought it off of, idk i didnt catch his name. I was 15 at the time and my dad was doing all the talking.

But any information would be much appreciated

I'm trying to disassemble the bolt on mine to replace the main spring, did anyone ever figure out how to do it? I've got mine threaded for a TAC65 suppressor.

I have an old Savage 15-A. No ser number. It was like the ones I rem as a kid at scout camp. Single shot with no feed. Shoots great

I also have an old Winchester141. It shoots like a tack driver. Very accurate. It has tube in the stock of the gun. Fun little gun.

Got them both for about $70 back a few years ago. The Winchester has a small scope on it. I figured $35 a gun I can't pass it up...I lucked out and made a good decision. I was looking for a few wall hangers at the time ....oh well they have a good home now.

We picked up a Stevens B-15 today from an ad in our electric co-op news letter (yes we live in the country). We paid $75 and it is in very nice condition. The trigger looks to be nickle plated along with the bolt. It shoots nice. Were these rifles a youth model? It is very short and handy and lite. My six year old has already laid claim to it. I think it will be a good rifle for him to learn with. He is in the process of mastering a Daisy at this time.
