Well..

So the soldiers I teach english to, started ask me questions about english names for gun parts..

Guess what 2 out of the 3 hours of English covered?? :D

handguns, rifles, and bullets.

We covered obscure things like crimping, to sling rivots, to extractors to gas piston rods etc..

I changed the mind of all the Sergents. Their biggest complaint about civilian gun ownership is that they do not believe that a civilian can know as much about guns as a "trained" military personale. Guess who showed them wrong!!

They were shocked I knew all the internal parts of guns. They were suprised I knew basic concepts in shooting; how to take apart a gun, how a gun works, etc..

So now they support private gun ownership, as I proved to them, that a non-GI can know as much (if not more) than they do about guns.

So now, at least on that military base, all the Sergents are pro-RKBA...

"sling rivots"

Uh, I'm assuming a typo, but what is a rivot?

You mean pivot? As in sling swivels?

Two Blink-you are hereby cordially invited to come to the US Congress and all bleeding heart liberal organizations, as well as many other government agencies and practice your new found gift of convincing otherwise intelligent people that firearms ownership by the average person is a good thing!

"How you say flattop M-4 carbine with GG&G flip-ups, foregrip, ACOG Trilux, 3 point sring, and pimpin' surefire mount?"

Does carbon fiber translate into cool there too? :D

Keep up the good work.

I meant "Rivet".

The guns they have here "TW57's" some just have a rivet, with a small hole to pass a sling tie through it.

Some models have swivels..

Oh, Congress already knows about guns.. I mean, Diane Feinswine has a ccw.. trust me, she knows about guns, and the inherent ability to protect one's self with it. Otherwise she wouldn't have one. She just doesn't want YOU to have one..
