Pure awesome (http://www.betaco.com/products.asp?rid=18)
This mag is definitely expensive, but damn if it ain't cool. Anyone had experience with these mags yet? I know they've made 'em for ARs for years, but the M14 mags look like they're a new product.
I know what's going on the top of MY christmas list this year. :D

A 100 round magazine on an M1A?
Does it come with a reinforced sling and pnuematic shoulder support?

Doesn't seem very ergonomic.

Hey, a 5lb magazine you can hang from a 9-14lb rifle. What will they think of next? Looks like fun though.

Actually, fully loaded it weighs over 10lbs. So add that to a 10lb rifle (more if you've got other goodies hanging off it), and you've got a 20lb+ behemoth.
On the plus side, it'd probably tame the recoil somewhat. :)

We just need an HBAR M1A variant, maybe a water cooling jacket to take full advantage.
It would be very well suited for fixed-fortification zombie defense to me.

This would be a great anti-muzzle climb device until you got down to the last 30 or so rounds.

Oh, btw. Nice reference to one of my all time favorite political satires. Not enough people have seen that movie.

It really needs to come with a full tripod. :)
I can just see some guy with one hanging out of a deer stand. :D

In other news, CMI now makes 25 round magazines for M1As that sell for $35.
I've got a few of their 20 rounders that sell for $23 and they are fantastic.

By then your arms would have given out anyway. But at least you'll be hitting the zombie moles....

Allied Armament is supposed to come out with a 50 round drum for the FAL in the near future.

LOL.. Nope
The feed tower is the part of the Beta-C that slaps into the magwell, like a conventional magazine.
