Picked one up today, KSS Cote, Night Sights, LNIB with extra mag for $475 out the door. Feels really good in the hand and the trigger pull feels awesome. Any boards like the Beretta ones??
Thanks.

The P225 is an outstanding handgun, one of my favorite single-stack pistols of all time. Best ergonomics of any of the classic P-series SIGs, total reliability, and a tackdriver.

i concur. the P225 is the absolute most ergonomic pistol i have ever held. it shoots awesome. i didn't get one mainly due to the single stack mag. if they could cram 10 or more rounds of .40 inside that grip i'd be on it in a heartbeat.

My SIG P225 was my second hand gun, and one of my favorite.
Got it new in the box, with 4 used mags for $500.
They are good deals when you can find them, and the single stack helps my hand and my wife's hand fit it very well.
Makes me feel like I am a better shooter too.

You got a great deal if the gun is in LNIB condition. P225 owners are cult like similar to SIG P220ST/P226ST, H&K P7, and CZ-75's owners. Its a handgun not too many people have but those who do seem to really love them.

Good gun for smaller hand folks. At the price you picked it up, I wouldn't argue.

The 225 is a great pistol. Quirky in the looks department, but like perfection in the hand. Single-stack SIGs are generally accepted as being comfortable in the hand.
Mine is a Swiss police surplus version with the heel release. They came into the US en masse last year, selling at a rock bottom price. Very accurate.

I have never owned one, but I truely believe
that the SIG P225 is an out-standing firearm.
Slimmer in design than my P228; it should
make for a very nice and comfortable CCW
piece. I just don't think one can go wrong
by purchasing SIG "classic" P-series self-
loader's! Of course, I'm a little predjucied
in that regard. Enjoy~

Great buy. You won't regret it.
I haven't shot a lot of different handguns but the P 225 certainly was the nicest and easiest-to-shoot. I carry it every day on duty and trust it. For me it also points naturally.
My first private purchase (gotta wait till April '04  ) will probably also be a SIG.

Congratulations. The P225 is my favorite of the Sig Classic series; small and light, very comfortable to shoot, accurate, reliability is perfect.
One sunny day I started feeding my P225 crap. Ancient 9mm that looked like it had been sitting in someone's attic since the 1700s, handloads with several different bullet designs, whatever. The pistol never jammed. So I collected the empty casings, loaded two mags, ran them through the action. Again, not a single jam. I was impressed.

I have a P228, and I consider it and the P225 to be two of the very best 9mm service pistols on the market.

I've one of these and feel it's a great pistol. Never had a malfunction. Size and ergonomics are right for me. I suspect the 225 was overlooked by many when mag capacity seemingly ruled. I'd recommend this one without a reservation. :D

My P225 is my favorite 9mm handgun. Sounds like you got a smokin' deal on that little heater!

Don't you people know the rules? If you talk about cool guns, you need to post pictures:

Now I must say, that's one fine looking firearm. Although I'd love to see some nice pictures of the specific one in question ...

Probably the Sig I carry most. Love this one almost as much as my P7 (almost).

I'll have to see if I can get a digital camera and get some pictures of it. I don't have anyplace to host them though. And if I'm going to go through all that trouble then I may as well get pics of all the toys, ya now? :D

I have had mine for about three years. The only jam that I have ever had was the result of my first batch of underpowered handloads. The gun is still good to go after about 2500 rounds, tight and accurate.
It fits my hand perfectly and is quite accurate when I am in practice with it.
For some reason, they seem to sell a little cheaper than other SIG's. I guess they are just one of those well kept secrets.
I almost sold mine once to finance something else, but I quickly changed my mind when I realized what I was doing.
I will put it this way: When I hear a strange noise at night, the P-225 is the gun that does the investigating with me.
If you like it, buy it. I can't imagine that you would end up regretting it.

Actually I did buy it, sold one to finance it which I generally don't like to do but.....seemed a good investment so........bye bye Beretta.

The 225 is a sweet pistol. I 've had mine for about a year now, two of my friends have offered to buy it after shooting it. It is the pistol I leave on the nightstand for my GF when I go to work.

Congrats on your purchase. I love my 225. Probably my favorite handgun. I don't shoot it as well as my Hi-power and it doesn't have the cool factor of my P7, but I think it fits my hand better than anything else I own (with the possible exception of my 1911).
Be sure to pick up some extra clips as soon as possible. The prices just keep climbing. I think cheeper than dirt still has some nib/niw for around $30.

It is one of my favorite guns. When I travel and am limited on the number of guns that I can take with me, the SIG P225 is one that goes. I even used mine in Guam at an IPSC Limited 10 match and got a 5th place finish, it was the only gun I had that was legal for the match. I like the P225 so much that I bought a second one. Fits my hand much better than the new fangled P239.
