Today I was teaching in public school about satire with political cartoons and pictures. We were discussing the American revolution and how a strong picture with few words can carry a powerful message. I showed the class a few of Oleg's pictures and discussed them with the class. One more example of subversive freedom tactics for the next generation, thanks Oleg.

By the way, is there an archive where all of Oleg's works are posted somewhere?

Some of my web networking photo albums (i.e., myspace, facebook, meetup) that show images I relate to include some of Oleg Volk's work. Certain images just seem to say what I want to say without further explanation. Here are examples . . .

I didn't know the "sure cure for sociopathy" was Oleg's. That's my favorite.

If I am ever on a public computer terminal, like a library, coffee shop, school, etc. I will set the wallpaper to one of Oleg's pics before I leave.

I have thought about printing out some of his stuff and placing on bulletin boards inside some of the sportsmen's clubs I belong to. Some members at those clubs are a bit like Zumbo The Former.

Also, sometimes I just show people nearby to me when I am on the computer a picture or two. There was one I can't find now that shows a dead lady's hand with a slide-locked auto and a pile of brass and the caption "You never see this at the feet of a rape victim" My wife found that one especially poignant.

PS. Here is a better list of his firearm-related work: http://www.olegvolk.net/gallery/technology/arms/

I just have to say, Mr. Volk is one of my new heroes.

I'm head of IT where I work. I put the "Cure of Sociopathy" wallpaper on a few desktops around the department and on some of the servers. But my job is mostly pushing the underlings around, so I'm not afforded as many opportunities for such guerrilla tactics as I'd like.

With his permission, I have used Oleg's work on my web site (www.guntalk.com), and we are adding it and links to his sites to our new video-based website www.guntalktv.com.

Tom ~

And the GunTalk site looks good!~ (By the way, I'm excited about the possibilities with your new guntalk.tv site. That's just an awesome idea.)

I'm using a lot of Oleg's images on my site, too -- www.corneredcat.com. Don't hear a lot of direct feedback about his posters, but when people steal bandwidth from me by hot-linking, it's very often to one of Oleg's images. Always get a kick out of seeing where the images go and what people are saying about them.

Very grateful Oleg has created such a fabulous resource for all of us to use!

I plastered the most in-your-face ones all over my half of the dorm-room door in college so everyone walking down the hallway had to see it. Got a few questions about it, and got another guy addicted to shooting due to it.
