I just picked up a S&W 657 hunter with 6.5 inch barrel, now I need to find a good holster. I am looking for something I can wear on my waist, preferably not crossdraw. I saw that Galco makes a holster for the 629 in a 6.5 inch barrel, but will a 629 holster fit a 657. I think it will, but I am not sure.

Anyone have any suggestions?

The Smith & Wesson model 629 (44 Magnum) and 657 (41 Magnum) are identical except for the cartridges they use. However specify that you either have a standard or full-underlug barrel. That could make a difference. Double check the barrel length (from the cylinder face to the end of the muzzle) to be sure it's 6 1/2" and not 6".
