I recentely inherited a few old guns from my father and one of them is a occidental interchangeable12 ga. anyone have any info. or value or where can be found. I have tried the blue book of gun values. any info would be greately appreciated. Thank you.

I had an Occidental Interchangeable 12 ga. side by side shotgun many years ago it was made by FN in Belgium. You might try researching it under FN or Fabrique Nationale.

Harley's book indicates Belgian manufacture and importation ca 1890.

I'd be very loath to shoot this without a good smith's inspection first. And maybe not after.

Belgian guns of that era are not oft good nor strong.
