It's a .3105 diameter bullet.

Actually there making a .311 dia bullet to use in 303 and it will work in the 54r also. http://www.midwayusa.com/eproductpage.exe/showproduct?saleitemid=913729&t=11082005 I can use both the .310 and .311 in my SKS reloads,I can use the .311 150 Gr. in my Mosin M44.
