A freind at work needed some cash and offered up a revolver for sale, which I bought for $50.00. The revolver is pretty stout for a .38 and seems reasonably well made. The trigger pull is heavy, but smooth. The hammer is also a transfer bar type instead of a floating firing pin.

On the barrel (L) is stamped "Mod PUCARA 384 CAL.38 SPL"
The right side has "IMPORTED BY CAI ST. ALB.VT"

The frame is stamped " MADE BY REXIO" with "ARGENTINA" stamped directly below.

Anyone know of or have one of these? I'm guessing the new price when they were imported was around the $150-$200 range. I may shoot her once or twice, then she becomes trading material! :D

Not familiar with this one. But most Argentinian small arms are pretty well made.

I'm also not familiar with this particular firearm; but
the barrel at least reminds me of a Python!:uhoh: :D

It's probably worth the $50 investment.

A buddy of mine has one that looks very similar...it shoots pretty well, the weight really helps absorb recoil. Fun gun for $50 ;)

I've seen these for sale in Shotgun News, but don't know anything about them. The proof is in the shooting. You could also contact Century Arms(they have a web site), maybe they could supply a manual. I'd be interested what they recommend as far as +P ammo.

I'm almost definitely sure there won't be a problem with +P ammo. This thing is definitely beefy with a heavy cast frame.

It really won't matter too much now since I was offered $100 and sold it to another buddy. :D

That brings me $100 closer to a new stainless Ruger GP 100!
