I would like to by my family a Mossberg Home Defender .410 shotgun. But I hate the pistol grip that is on it. Is this something that can be easily changed. I have never owned any shotgun before and know nothing about this.

Thanks
BJ

Unscrew the bolt, screw on a new stock....it's that easy.

New and used stocks can be found on eBay, GunBroker, and even from Mossberg direct...

I think the stock is the back of the gun isn't it. This is actually the part you pump. Is it still that easy.

Thanks

Sorry, I didn't understand the part you were talking about, I do now..

The pistol grip forearm can be changed, too.

Replacement forearms are sold on www.e-gunparts.com for $15.15, search for p/n: Item No. 65010

You may even be able to trade forearms with someone here looking for the PG forearm...

Here is a video for disassembly of a 12GA model 500, the .410 should be similar...

Another alternative is to buy the "cruiser" model and swap out the pistol-grip-only stock for a regular stock.
