[QUOTE]Wild Boar Targeted
During Deer Season
Ohio’s hunters are encouraged to harvest any feral swine they encounter in the wild in order to limit the spread of this destructive species in the state.

that there is a good possibility that one or more farmers is going to lose one or more head of livestock to deer hunters. I wonder if the DNR will publicize that?

Hogs are terribly destructive to crops. On the plus sign, if they take over, you'll have plenty of free hog hunting, I bet. :D

There are still farmers who let their hogs run loose in fenced in pasture, woodlots, and on harvested fields to glean the field. These aren't feral hogs gone wild they are livestock. Now, the first instant some yo-yo decides to shoot farmer Brown's prize Duroc boar there will undoubtedly be one more posted farm.

As long as they are contained within the pasture I wouldn't worry, but hogs getting away from the farm and not coming back are part of what causes the problem in the first place.
