E.R. Shaw

Sorry if this is in the wrong forum.

There is an old automotive repair shop that has had a sign in the front window for a pretty long time now(over a year) that says custom gun maker ER Shaw...coming soon, or something along those lines. The shop is about 15 minutes from my house, and I was just wondering if anyone knew if things were going to get up and running or not.

I have bought E.R Shaw Barrels for .22 rimfire from Boyds Gunstock industries. They make a good looking and very accurate barrel.

I plan on using them in the not to distant future. They have been around for years and I have heard good reviews especially for hunting guns which I plan on putting together,and have been searching for the right rifle for the action I want for some time. Their prices are much better than I have found locally. Also I figure they know what their doing and I have ran into the smith from hell before.

The address on the site is that of the building I am talking about, but when I go by there, it looks like there is nothing in it other than a table/desk and a chair.

Must be a really old sign, I've had one of their barrels on a rifle for over 10 years. Good shooter too

That should be E R Shaw... try calling them and asking when you can come in to speak to them about a purchase.....

I don't know where you live, but they are just outside Pittsburgh/Carnegie.....

The sign hasn't been there for 10 years I know that, and they don't seem to have done anything inside the building since they bought it. The last time I went by the place was about 3 weeks ago, but I doubt anything new happened. They have a good reputation and they will install their barrels. My AR has one of their barrels and it does very well.

I had dealing with them going back to the middle 80's they do excellent work and there prices are very fair
