Went out to pick up my S&W 642 today and took a look at this shotgun. Fit and finished looked ok for a $350 gun and was wondering if anyone out there had one, or a chance to shoot one? Also looked at the Win X-2 and was wondering if it would be better to save my pennies for a step up in quaility? Thanks

The Baikal is an excellent gun for the money: tough, overbuilt almost to a fault, and should last forever if you look after it. However, the three I've shot (they're quite popular among duck hunters here) were not as comfortable to shoot as the Winchester/Remington/Mossberg alternatives; the fit and finish were not in the same league; and the chokes that come with the gun did not seem to give particularly good patterns. If I were in your shoes, I'd save up for the Winchester - but I can't deny that for something less than half the price, the Baikal is a bargain. You get what you pay for...

someone else can comment about this shotgun?

today I saw the MP-153 in a store. doesn't look like a high quality gun... but
is it reliable? and/or accurate ?

apparently, there is also a similar model: "MP-153 Semi-Automatic Shotgun For Practical Shooting"
