All: Thinking of trying some Hornady 150 FMJBT bullets out for blasting and plinking and such out to maybe 400 meters or so from a 308. Been shooting the Amax bullet which has been quite accurate for me. However, these bullets are pretty inexpensive (a relative term these days) and I was wondering if anybody had any experience with them as far as accuracy goes in a 308.

If you have a pet load that works well for you with H4805, Ramshot TAC, or Varget I'd like to hear about that too.

Thanks.

for use in my M1 and they have been quite accurate. I think they are a bargain. That's on .30-'06, but I bet they'll do well in .308 as well.

I reload for the Ishapore's.308's , FAL, CETME, one FR-8 and an M1A. I finally setalled on IMR4895 at 41gr.s and a 152 pulled mil 30-06 bullet.
This works in just about every thing I've got. My Ishapores' do not like the 147gr. FMJBT at all.(and they were cheap) But regular 152gr flat base FMJ bullets.

I used some in my L1A1, they shot well. Winchesters version of this bullet was not as accurate.
