I got a new Model 60 3" Bbl. Len. on
tuesday. I went to the range last night.
I did a bit of homework and found a box of
SPeer Gold Dot 135 gr. JHP for $ 13/20
after finding some other places that had it
at $19/20. I shot about 35 rounds of
handloaded to 900 fps some 158 gr. SWC I only
shot one cyl. of the Gold Dot but it was about
the same recoil - Interesting with this
J-frame I found myself shooting about 80% of it
Double Action & the all steel make it a pleasant
recoil/recovery.
It needs a white outline rear blade and a yellow insert
front ramp methinks and start shopping for
leather.
Final note on the Speer Gold Dot 135 gr. JHP - I
compared the hollow point to a Hornady 140 gr.
XTP JHP - the GD has bigger dia. HP
