Twoblink, whatcha don't understand is down South that clear liquid out of a Mason Jar can:

be used for fuel
that "alcohol"will remove water from fuel system
fight off infections
make firebombs
bribe politicians, preachers, and Sheriffs
used for anesthesia , (on purpose sometimes too)

Booze was actually used by the Doc treating the patient--some sloshed here and there to clean wound.

Rarely did you see them clean a gun, wipe off outside about it.
