These pictures are of my bitch daisy, doing some retrieving work over the marsh where i shoot duck. she is a super little animal. that mud is horrible i once waded into it to pick up a dummy, it was really deep and horrible. i won't wade in again, i took my life in my hands. daisy becomes very muscular, it is really hard work.
We shoot mainly mallard, teal and wigeon on there.

Oh, dang, was hopin' for a woman in a thong. :D
Pretty pix of the mud, some neat patterns there. It reminds me a little of the marshes I hunt here. We don't get mallard in the salt marshes, though, a fresh water puddle duck. There is a local hole where I've killed mallard, but it's fed by a fresh water bayou, not the bay, and has willows and other such fresh water vegetation in it. Kinda neat hunting there, but it's an all or nothing thing. Either it's full of big ducks or you won't fire a shot. For that reason, I rarely take a chance on the place, LOL.
I never get pix of the duck spots because I don't wanna ruin my camera if I fall in the water like has happened. :banghead: Often, I'm standing in water hunting 'em in pot holes.
Danged good idea to have a dog in that crap, eh? ROFL! I'd hate to have to go after a bird in that! No need for deeks? You pass shooting 'em? I got stuck in the crap this teal season and had to swim out, about like that. Most of the potholes I hunt have a bottom, but that one didn't. I ain't going back up there, can tell ya that!

no it's a chain saw...... yes it is a roe buck. There are also some small "flashes" on the marsh which i decoy but dependant on tide and moon phases we take them as they fly along the marsh.
here is one of the flashes

and one of a roe does head, she was a really old doe, i took her in the new year and she was not pregnant, she was fat as butter but tough as old boots to eat. you can see the hair loss on her face, i think that is her age.
Is that the Wash or possible the Broads? Just curious as I saw form a previous post you said you were from Lincs.
I do know there is some pretty bad/sticky bogs up in the broads.
