Value of my Norinco SKS?

I've had this guy for many years, since before 1994. It has the standard 10 round fixed mag, but I also have a couple of 30 rounders for it. In good shape, with a rubber butt-pad extender on it and a scope mount and small chinese scope mounted on it.
I'm thinking of selling it to help pay tuition. What could I reasonably expect to sell it for?
If interested, email me and I'll send you pics.

I paid 200 bucks for the Norinco I jus bought last fall... it had a fixed 10, a fixed 20, and detatchable 5 and 30 rounders, a bayonet, and was in all around great condition... (wood wasn't too poretty, but was easy to clean up, and ain't too bad now...
I considedered it a pretty good deal at that time...
I'd expect $250.00 to $300.00 for your gun... at least in my area (northern Michigan)

with the scope and mags, probably a little over $200 here in tejas.
My Yugo M59/66 cost me $180 with some ammo and strippers (er clips, not girls  ) thrown in as well. It was in good, but not great shape (the receiver/barrel/finish were fine, the wood pretty bad. I've since cleaned it up some)

Seems like about yesterday when you could buy the things for $65 and add all the goodies for another $65. Now I see them dressed up for $300. I had literally dozens that came and went, trades, buying off friends when they needed money, etc, and never kept any because they weren't "worth" anything.

I remember complaining when they hit $99 at the local gun show. Ah, the good old days.....

I just bought a Norinco for $150, but it needed some minor work. They seem to go for around $200 +/- $50 depending on condition generally. Keep in mind that the more stuff bolted to it, the less it's worth. All original is worth more.
You can't compare the Norinco with the Yugo for prices. Norincos are unimportable(yes, even after the '94 ban dies). There will be no more imported into this country, likely ever. Yugos are still coming in by the tens of thousands.

true.
I'm also of the opinion that the Yugo is better made and more of a value, even if they are becoming more common.
The Norincos I have handled feel cheap, comparatively.

I'm also of the opinion that the Yugo is better made and more of a value, even if they are becoming more common. I'm not going to argue with you there. I've got 4 Yugos and they are built like tanks. Very much a great deal for the money.
However, craftsmanship and value have nothing to do with it. Yugos are the cheapest (in price) SKS that you can buy. Norincos sell for more. It's similar to how pre-ban ARs go for more than Post ban. There's a limited number and they can sell for the higher price, so they do.

Within he last 6 months I have seen the bare bones Norinco SKS offered (& sold) from $125 to $250, all were in excellent condition. As you can see, there is alot of room to work with. I prefere a Russian SKS to all others but I'd take a Yugo instead of the Norinco but its a close call because I like chromed bores.

I just picked up a Norico SKS for $150.
I am interested in another one.
Send pictures if you would. My SKS is lonely! ;)

Just posted today in our local Nickel Want Ads:
"Norinco SKS rifle, ammo pouch, bayonet, strap, low serial number,
excellent $300"
Must have been Mao's personal rifle.:D

I saw a beat-up Russian SKS with bayonet in a local gun shop last week--for $425. Kicking myself for not buying two for $99 each in the early 1990s.
