I was looking up some data on Hodgdon's website and noticed they have loads for .223 Remington and .223 Remington (Win). What's the difference?
Thanks

paperpuncher49 November 11, 2007, 11:10 AM About a year ago, Hodgdon took over distribution of Winchester propellants. While I haven't visited Hodgdon's web site, the Hodgdon Annual Relaoding Manual lists all its propellant loads, but lists the loads for Winchester propellants (WW748, WW760) separately. I would tend to believe everything listed as "Win" is for Winchester propellants. Incidentally, WW748 is a great .223 powder, as is Varget. ReloaderFred November 11, 2007, 11:59 AM Instead of directing you to a different website for data on Winchester powders, which Hodgdon now distributes, they simply list the Winchester data separately. Use the data as represented. Incidently, Winchester 748 is the only powder I use in my 55 grain loadings for .223 Remington, since it provides such good accuracy in my rifles. Hope this helps. Fred fmnnc November 11, 2007, 12:07 PM It makes perfect sense...and thanks. :)
