I own an 11-87 SPS I bought at Cabelas used. It was like new had the box manuals and chokes. Its all black synthetic no thumbhole or camo and came with a 26 inch barrel. I recently put a Leupold 2x7 Vx-1 on it and a Cantilevered fully rifled barrel. It shoots like a dream I had 3 rounds touching at 100 yards. My first time shooting slugs.

My question is what is the difference between the 11-87 Sportsman model and the SPS

Probably just a name change. The Sportsman is the "newer" gun, right?
