Today I traded for a Ruger M-77 in 6mm Ackley improved, put together by Goodling Rifles. The medium weight 23" barrel is supposedly a Shilen.
Can anyone can share any experiences with either the caliber or the gunsmith?
TIA,
Bob

I have a 6AI, 788 action, Pac-Nor barrel, Lone Wolf stock. My barrel is 10 twist, and seems to like bullets between 70 and 95 Gr. I use WW primers, and RL 19 & 22 powders. It shoots pretty well.:D

Try some of the 55 & 58 grain bullets. You can get about 4000 FPS.
Can you say "Exploding Varmints!"
