me and my son was out shooting my Charles daily Hawkins muzzle loader and i had a bad blow back or something i know some thing was wrong by the way it sounded and felt. i just switched to 777 i don't know if that was the problem or not i was only shooting 90gr. any way the real problem is my on my hammer mechanism the last ear on the hammer set broke off and now i may have to cancel our hunting trip for first day of deer season sat if i cant find any parts this is the only gun i have that he can stand to shoot any help is welcomed thanks

Well, don't know what to tell you.
A broken hammer is going to have to be replaced with a new one.

At best, Charles Daly might be able to send you one over-night, if they still even have parts for that gun.
I am not aware of any black-powder Charles Daly's still being made.
