Gun Safety Float?

I would really like to see a gun safety thread floated somewhere (general?).

It seems to me that there are a lot of members that are new to guns or at least to safe gun handling from some of the posts I have seen.

I would like something a bit more extensive than just the basic 4 (Cooper's are the ones I use and teach). I suspect many people don't realize the danger of shooting at target up hill (ie miss can go somwhere you can't see). Or how rounds can richochet off of ground, water, and glass.

I think Genereal and Hunting would be best places for this float.

I actually think this is a great idea. A float for "newbies read here". It could have links to well discussed popular topics such as the .22 for the first handgun for plinking, revolvers vs semi-auto for first home defense piece, etc.

Strongly agree. The Four Rules as a link button at the top of every page, a la TFL.

I hate cluttered pages, but the Four Rules are what responsible firearms ownership is all about.
