Encore Questions

I've been researching the TC Encore and have several questions about it. First, my local dealer hasn't had one in stock for about a year. When asked about it, he mentioned that there was a backorder for new Encores and that TC is just now catching up with demand. Any truth to that?

Also, what's a good source for extra barrels?

I know that there is a reloading book specifically for the Contender--but is there one for the Encore?

Thanks in advance.

I'll answer at least 2 of your questions.

Yes, Encores have been in short supply. T/C has been gearing up manufacturing for the new Contender G2s and consequently, the Encores are on the back burner until T/C meets the demand for the G2s.

You can get Contender or Encore barrels from Fox Ridge Outfitters (T/C Custom Shop), Bullberry Barrel Works, or Virgin Valley Custom guns. There are probably others out there, but these 3 are very highly respected in the field. Links are below:

As far as having a reloading manual for the Encore, I don't know. I didn't reload at the time I had my Encore.

Encore barrels start at $185 for blued 12" barrels with these guys. Not a bad deal.
I think my dad buys his barrels through them.
I've never seen an Encore specific manual, but since most of the Encore shooting I've done has been through the rifle barrel, it's probably of limited value for me.
