It is listed on an auction site as a large bore, turn of the century "French Revolver", probably around .44 caliber. I am guessing 11mm. Well, it isn't an 1873 Martial Revolver. Any ideas?

I agree on the 11mm caliber. As to what it is, I have no idea but definitely not a belgian cheapo. It apperas to be really well made. Any markings?

I do believe you have got a Fagnus.

Everything appears to match except the fancier grips on yours.

Somewhat resembles an 1880 Danish but those are only 9mm.

11mm = .44 true .44 not .429 or .430 but .44, it would b interesting to scrape up some brass and handload.

OUTSTANDING! Sir James, you are a genius! Given that bit of info, and the power of the World Wide Interwebz, to looks like it is, indeed, 11mm 1873 calibre. Interesting.... You have to admit, it is weirder than a Webley!
