Cannot find a NIB Single Six with the Rosewood grips (Ruger DC'd em), and I can't stand the thought of one with anyother grips. Any suggestions on where to get em, and will the be a direct screw on item.

I'm pretty sure the old model Vaquero grips fit that.

Any grip from a standard Blackhawk or Vaquero will fit the Single-Six. You can always find factory grips on Ebay, GunBroker, or Auction Arms.

If you can't find factory Ruger wooden grips, you're not looking hard enough. there's a set added to eBay almost daily. Always seems to be a few sets of XR3 ones there as well. If realy in need, post upa WTB on Ruger Forum.

MADDOG: I have them for the blackhawks, NM Single Six and old style Vaqueros. They are new and came off of the old style Vaqueros. At one time I sold the old style Vaqueros with custom grips and I ended up with many pairs of Rosewood and simulated Ivory grips. I have the Ivory grips also for sale for $45 a pair.

I know they won't fit the older model XR3. I was naming the models the grips will fit for you and others who might need a pair.

Helluva deal. I have handmade rosewoods on my 629 S&W and paid $75 for the set over 6 years ago. IMHO they absolutely MAKE the looks on that .44.
