Non-lint towels/rags for gun cleaning?

I used to buy these SPECTACULAR gun-cleaning cloths at K-mart.
They were blue rolls on a cardboard core that you'd tear off like paper towels except thicker and really tough. I got them in the Automotive Department for about $1.00 a roll! The were the BEST THING EVER for gun cleaning - left no lint, were really absorbent of solvent and oil, I could tear off a little piece and roll it to get in corners and tiny places... they were PERFECT!
But I've been to a couple K-marts around Denver and I can't find them ANYWHERE anymore. (If you can find them in a K-mart by you, get all they have in stock - seriously - before you can't get them anymore either.)
Anyone have any other ideas? Preferably something I can buy a bunch of at Midway or Cheaper-Than-Dirt.
Thanks.

Every WalMart I've ever been in sells them.

Oh, I'm not crazy about Walmart for political reasons, so I don't shop there. Perhaps I could let them have $5.00 of my money for some good towels.:uhoh:
Are there any other good options and sources?

I don't know about these "blue" towles but check out just about any store with woodworking supplys and they have lint-free rags for staining wood, that would work.

Your local discount auto parts store should have some. If you can't find them, ask the counter guys for them. My local NAPA had them behind the counter for some reason. I love 'em.

Costco just started selling them again in 10-packs, and I buy 'em all the time. Best thing for the bench since Hoppes No. 9.

Home Depot sells them as "shop towels" on a roll down in the paint supplies aisle. I use them exclusively for gun cleaning. They are the best. Also, Checker Auto parts has them.

Yup, shop towels are what they're called - they also come in boxes, like giant tissue-paper boxes. Used 'em all the time in the cabinet shop for rubbing stain into doors and trim pieces.
They're what paper towels should have been in the first place. Much tougher.

Cotton baby diapers are the best gun rags you can buy.
