Here is probably a stupid newbie question. I have the Lee 4 hole classic. The RCBS X dies come in a set of two. Probably one for decapping and sizing and the other for seating the bullet. What about the powder dispenser die and the crimping die?

How would you work this setup. Or should I just get the Lee Classic die set?

Also, from reading threads, I have decided to use H355 powder. What is a good cheap bullet to use?

My classic cast turret press has a hybrid of dies in it. After I replaced the sizing die with the X die, I continue to use the Lee dies in the other stations. I love the Factory Crimp die.

Anyways, the X die screws right in to die station number 1 in place of any other sizing die that you would place there.

So I could get the RCBS X 2 die set and the Lee rifle charging die (non expanding) and I would leave the 4th hole open. I was told not to crimp 223 ammo.
Does this sound right?

Yes, but I crimp 223.

For cheap bullets, check www.wideners.com.

Well, the bad news: There are no more "cheap" bullets. I usually buy bullets from www.midwayusa.com buying the Remington or winchester "bulk" bullets.

Dont be fooled by the cheaper 55grain FMJ boattail bullets.these are for just plinking. I like the flat based around 60-62 grains.

The plastic tipped bullets have also worked for me, either manufacturer and any weight.

You've done well by choosing the H335 powder. Thats all I use in the 223.

Check out Tand T reloading. They have Hornady 55 grain FMJBT bullets for $58 per 1,000. I just bought a few thousand and they look pretty good. I haven't had a chance to shoot any yet.
