My wife got to try a Kimber Pro Carry II in 9mm today. She *really* liked the gun and we're thinking about getting one.

What's the current "street price" on a NIB Kimber. Pro Carry II in 9mm? I see MSRP is $868, but who has it available at a better price?

Btw, what she liked about it was the light weight aluminum frame, the trigger, the left-side only safety, and the general "feel" of the gun. She doesn't like ambi-safety's and finds a full-length steel 1911 to be too heavy.

This would be her gun for general shooting and possibly for IDPA.

(I was hoping she'd like the S&W M&P she also tried better, but she just thought that was "OK" but really liked the Kimber)
