Name that Gun

When I was a youngster in the mid 70's, I used to frequent a gunshop called the Quakerneck Gun Exchange in Fayetteville, NC. I marvelled at so many different toys they carried.
One gun (I was too young at the time) I had decided I would buy someday was a silver Ithaca Pump with about a 20 inch barrel and the mag tube was the full length of the barrel.
When I did turn 18 they didn't have these anymore. With Algore inventing the internet, I may be able to run one down IF I know what it was called.

Any Ideas?

Probably was an Ithaca 37 riot gun that someone had nickel plated.

They appeared to be chrome, but had that rough "spray paint" look. There was a whole rack of them. I'm sure they were 37 variety (I'm not aware of any other Ithaca pump guns).

Is that an actual model, "Riot Gun"?

Thanks for that link, zinj. I wasn't aware that they were still in business.

Sounds like a nickel-coated Marine model. Like the Remington 870 Marine Magnum (http://www.remington.com/products/firearms/shotguns/model_870/model_870_marine_magnum.asp).

While I would love to have one of those, this was in the mid 1970's. It had the "whiter" look of chome than the somewhat coppery hue of electroless nickel.
My Mossy 590 Marine coat also has that "not quite silver" hue of copper in the finnish.

I went mining and found that they offered a hard chome model around 1975 called a DSPS and an M&P. It was also offered in Parkerized, and Shiney nickel.
Black_Talon answered a thread on it last year, but thanks for the help. I truley appreciate your imput.

FWIW, Quakerneck was owned by Don Creed. I bought a few guns from him. He is currently a Medical Doctor. His practice is in Elizabethtown NC. Good friend of mine!

He had his business in the Bordeaux Shopping Mall, the one with the minature Eiffel tower out front.
