Production stopped a while ago. Most people won't part with them (for some odd reason). Plus the price for one is high.
Why are you looking for one (asking out of curiousity)?

They're pretty high, imho. But if you have the cash, try this:

Good luck.

I believe that Walther eventually priced the gun so far out of the market, that there was little if any demand for it. Also remember that this was the same time that a heretofore unknown Austrian gun manufacturer came onto the scene with a rather revolutionary 9mm, one that was selling for a third of what the P88 was going for. Here are some prices for the P88:
1988- $1165
1991- $1285
1993- $1550
1995- $1725
I couldn't find any other listings for the P88 after 1995; I think maybe Walther and/or Interarms finally figured out that this particular model wasn't going to be a real big seller for them. I'm not sure, but I thought that Bersa currently makes a full size 9mm that utilizes a great deal of the P88 design. Could be worth a look if an original P88 doesn't seem to be a viable proposition.

Yes, Walther stopped production in 1995 and introduced the P88 Compact.
The Bersa Thunder 9 High Capacity is a clone of the P88 with a change in the control levers. They added a safety/decock and separate slide lock versus Walther's combo slidelock/decocker.
The Bersa is a nice inexpensive clone but certainly not finished up to the quality of the P88. I like my Bersa but I really really like my P88 and P88 Compact.
