I was interested until I saw the word Remington. Every Remington ammo I have tried in an automatic has been crap.

Hmmm, I've had lots of luck with the green box UMC for plinking. Those and Magtechs are my favorite rounds.

I know. $100-120/1000 is still my "that seems about right" mark. What's .45ACP up to now? If 9mm has caught up with it, I may as well just go for the RIA 1911 I've been drooling over and forget about the 9mm for ammo savings...

$6.98 if you buy a case (10 boxes) here in MA. Re: Remington UMC, I had a problem once with FTF and they went out of their way to help me find the problem and replace the ammo. Their customer service sold me on their ammo.

Sadly, .45 ACP prices have NOT remained stagnant either. It's still more expensive than 9mm ammo, and that includes figuring that 9mm ammo now seems more expensive.

And yes, the Dick's around here is $6.98 per 10+ boxes also. No sales tax in NH either, so that's what you pay OTD. ;) My Glock is still working on the last case I bought.

Not only that, but when you pay for shipping of 1000 rounds, or whatever, the .45ACP is heavier per round, so it'll cost more to ship the same number of rounds as you would get in 9mm.
