I've had some troubles with THR's search function, as have others. Justin posted this tip for searching which is AWESOME:
The best way around it is to use Google to do a site search. Basically, go to Google, input the terms you want to search, and then type site:thehighroad.org

It works very well. Plus, it allows you to search for short terms (i.e., XD, AR, AK) as well as some of THR's excluded terms. Enjoy!

If you want to be a bit more fancy you can create a custom search engine on google and set it up to search THR, TFL, AR15, and KTOG or whatever boards you frequent. It's pretty handy if you remember reading about something but can't recall which board.
