PC627: Front sight replaceable?

I'm seriously looking at one of these babies, but I can't hang with the gold dot on the front sight. Can you just punch that pin and replace it with a regular orange ramp insert?

The front sight is spring loaded on that model. Changes can be done to whatever you like.

You just pull back on the blade and lift it out. S&W has several styles, but I replaced my gold bead with a black Patridge from www.jackweigand.com He also has many styles in stock.
