I bought one of these yesterday. It's a K40 stainless. I'd like to semi polish flats on slide and frame. The trigger tip was rather blunt and squared off. It was uncomfortable, so last night I rounded, and removed sharp edge from trigger tip. Following that I used Flitz and a rechargeable dremel ( l mention rechargeable because I've found that they operate at max 15,000 rpm and torque is much less making accidents a more remote possibility) and polished trigger face. Has anyone ever tried polishing slide on one of these. I notice rollmarks aren't very deep.

Using a dremel on the flats will ripple the stainless and you will NOT like it.

Use scotchbrite...starting with fine and then extra fine. When you get the finest one......start rubbing faster with less pressure and it will start to glisten. Now rub it down with rouge by hand....no dremel. Youll need to SUPER CLEAN your gun after your done, as you just got SS dust in everything...behind the extractor and trigger etc........

If you cant field strip it down to "nothing" to clean it, you may be better off skipping this.

Id also recommend a wolff 22# recoil spring. Especailly if your using anything hotter like Corbon.

Be prepared to change the recoil spring every 5-700 rnds.

Email me about the striker spring....Ive got a tip youll like.

Shoot well

I dissasembled gun. Finish was more like rough bead blast than matte. So started with 380 grit sandpaper, and finished with 600, then Flitz. Slide rollmarks stayed well in tact and now are more visable. Steel on this gun seems much harder than Colts, and S&W's I've polished before. Took some elbow grease and a couple hours to acheive semi-polish on slide and frame flats only.
