What is the fair market price for a good condition 03A3? My local gunshop has one in real good condition made by "Rubin Corona" or something like that.

I've always wanted one, but I'm not sure if I want to spend the $699 they're asking. I think I'll wait until the price drops, but I'm not sure how low I should wait for it to get.

What do you think? What's the "fair market", "good buy", and "snatch it off the shelf" price?

Rubin Corona?

Smith Corona made 1903-A3s, as did Remington.

For a general issue 1903-A3, though, I'd have to say that $700 is a bit on the steep side.

That's a bit high for a shooting grade 03A3, like Mike said.

Figure $450 up or down $100 depending collector status and condition. I have a Rem 03A3 but I'll take an FN49 anyday!

Surf over to the CMP's site. No more SC's but they're not $700 either. http://www.odcmp.com/
