As far as I know, it's a trendy way of describing simply working out with kettlebells. The Russians didn't invent it, they simply used kettlebells long after most people in the West had decided they were too old-fashioned.

I don't see any benefits you can't get from other implements, but there's nothing wrong with kettlebells, either.

And with that, I'll move this to Non-Firearms Weapons.

I have the 33, 52, and the 72 pounders. They will give you a intense workout. The snatchs and swings will wear you out in short order. If you are talking about Pavel's routine he has some different idea's about working out. My arms and shoulders got scary big in very little time. But, because of a work related tennis elbow , I have had to go to the lighter wt. Go to www.kettlebell.net for more info. Packed full of information.
