My local dealer was selling a case of 1 1/4 ounce Federal magnum 2 3/4" slugs (not the regular ones, the ones that are like 540 grains) for $2.50 a box of 5 or $125 for the entire case. Are these good slugs? Meaning are they accurate and powerful? Would you buy them? Are they a good deal?

Those are actually the slugs that the U.S. military uses. You should buy two cases, not one. Tell the guy to cut you a huss on the third case and offer to buy three.

Kieslersonline.com has Federal 1 ounce slugs for $1.79 per box of five. I use the 1 ounce slugs in my 870P, they seem to work ok for me. They might carry the 1.25 ounce Federal slugs in the future for about the same price. You might want to check them out every now and then.

The Slug's the Military uses?
You will not find "Federal Slug's" in at least our Military ASP's.

Yea, so figure about $2 or $2 and change for the magnum 2 3/4"ers. But then the shipping would make it just as expensive, or even moreso than the case I bought.

By three cases and you save even more on shipping.
