Can you hunt turkey with a 20 guage that shoots 2 3/4 shells?

Certainly, if it patterns reasonably tightly and you don't try to stretch your shots.

+1 to what john bt said. Hevi-shot works well for turkeys in 20 gauge

Same here. Lots of turkey hunters here use 20 gauge. The president of the state wild turkey foundation uses a 20 gauge sometimes and does quite well.

I know a couple of kids that live in Corning that have hilled a lot of turkeys with a .410 shotgun. Not really recommended but its all they have and they get real close.

20 gauge is plenty good for turkey. I have taken turkey with .410 too. You just have to remember that you have less shot in each shell and adjust accordingly.
